22 Countries In 2 Years – Creating My Travel Photo Book With Shutterfly

Spread the love

Photos are everything to me and to most people. It’s the number one thing people say they would save if their house was to catch on fire. That’s because photos capture a time, a place and a memory that we were happy in with people and things we love. They take us back to the one place in a snap of a finger and put an instant smile on our faces and bring back so much emotion and feelings.

Since I was a kid, I’ve always been obsessed with photography. I used to collect hundreds if not thousands of photos from magazines and make my own collages. Later on, during my high school years, I used to make beautiful scrapbooks of my year and sometimes even gift some to my close friends and family. At one point after all cameras became digital, I struggled getting photos printed because I would take an endless amount of photos. I always wanted to create a photo book of all my travels and I’m so excited to finally be able to do that with Shutterfly.

Gifting someone or yourself a book full of your best memories is literally the best gift anyone can get.

As a world traveler and a travel blogger, photography is just as important in my world as traveling is. It’s my favorite part about my job. I love the hunt of trying to capture the perfect photo at the perfect location and time. I can take over a thousand photos in a single day of traveling and I enjoy it because when I look back at my photos it puts a smile on my face and reminds me of that moment and place. I also believe that photos are the best storytellers, they add so much to the stories we tell about our lives. So when Shutterfly asked me to create a photo book with them, they couldn’t ask anyone more perfect for the part! It was right up my alley and I knew I had to take advantage of this opportunity and create my dream book since I don’t have too much of my photos printed and I’ve been meaning to do this forever.

So I created a photo book and called it: “22 Countries In 2 Years – The World Through My Eyes”.

and let me just be the first to say that I am OBSESSED!!! OBSESSED with this photo book! It was like Christmas come early!

I couldn’t have gotten a better gift, to be honest! Shutterfly has so many unique backgrounds/wallpaper, fonts, signs, logos and layout sheets.

There are 2 ways of creating a book; one is super fast and easy the other takes longer, but you get to customize every little detail. Since I love art and designing and loved building my website, I went with the second option. However, if you don’t have time, It can take you just a few moments to create.

I went with the 11×14 size for my photo book and I must say it’s huge and I love it! Makes it feel like a real book you can buy at a bookstore.

I honestly think that creating a photo book and gifting it to someone is the best gift, I know I’ve said that a few times, but really guys, it is. It’s the perfect anniversary present, wedding, boyfriend/girlfriend, besties, sibling, family, travel present and you can literally give it to anyone.

If you have any questions please feel free to comment below! I’d love to hear from you guys!
