Exploring Athens (Day 2)
Day 2
The next morning was rise and shine at 6:30am! With my eyes half closed, as I am not a morning person at all, I got a tour of the city of Athens. I watched the changing of the guards at The Parliament Building and headed up to The Parthenon, which had always been on my bucket list! Once you get up to the top, it was an incredible view of the entire city of Athens! 360 degree angle of millions of houses! All build so perfectly!
We spend the rest of the day visiting…
more historical sights, through the mainland of Greece. Towards the last location, I was just not having it, all I wanted to do was relax and see some ocean. Luckily for me, we had made a stop at a very sweet and peaceful little town by the name of Nafplio, which reminded me alot of Italy. In Nafplio, I had the chance to explore the little streets, grab Gelato, get a view of a beautiful castle and get to see some ocean and sailboats, before heading out to Olympia, in the country side of Greece, where we spent the night.
Very intense 2nd day but I really got to see alot!
Coffee break is a must after such an early morning.
When I first saw this place, the first thing that came to mind was BUNGEE! Turns out this is a bungee jumping locations and one of the world’s most famous locations. It may not look like it but this is a crazy high or low, depending which way you look at it. It’s located in Corinth Canal, Greece.
Stopped at a small town for some lunch
This is how you handle Ice Cream, when you don’t feel like eating it anymore and all you want is cone. Love these kind of small cities in Europe, by the ocean side, full of sailboats!
