For the longest time, my biggest dream in the world was to go to the Maldives and stay in one of those water villas, I mean come on, isn’t that everyone’s dream? Right?!
Last year I got to expierence that in the best way possible by staying in the beautiful and gorgeous Kandima Maldives Resort and it was everything I dreamed of and MORE! I honestly never wanted to leave and legit cried on the boat back haha.
It was that serious — true love and one of the best trips of my entire life (and there’s been MANY!)

Are Water Villas Overrated?
First I have to admit and share with you guys, staying in a water villa in the Maldives is literally all that it’s cracked out to be…truly! (hands up emoji!)
There are place in the world that I’ve visited and had dreamt of for so long and once I got there, I realized they were totally overrated BUT not this expierence, it was truly a once in a lifetime expierence and I’m so grateful I got to experience this kind of magic. It’s literally everything I could have dreamt of and so much more.
Every morning I woke up with the biggest smile on my face wondering how I could be the most luckiest girl in the world.
In the mornings I’d wake up, made myself some coffee with the amazing coffee machine in the room, go to my patio/backyard overlooking the ocean and enjoying the true beauty of life — it was perfect.
At night I would look up at the stars who shined so brightly because I’m on a little island in the middle of nowhere and realized once again how blessed I am — it was truly magical, life-changing and humbling. I would do it 349344 times more!
Why Kandima Maldives Resort?
So let me give you a little background on Kandima and why it was such a special expierence.
To start, Kandima is a fairly new hotel in the Maldives so everything is brand new and beautiful. Their rooms are super luxuries and they literally thought of every little detail while creating it. From the amazing big bathtub that has the perfect outdoor ocean view that looks like a picture frame to their bed view of the ocean, to the scent of the bathroom toiletries (I was next level obsessed), the decor, artwork, outdoor patio with a ladder that leads you into the ocean, to the amazing indoor lighting, especially the bathroom, everything was truly a dream.
Their vibe is definitely more fun and colorful than most Maldives hotels. They welcome all groups of people, whether your traveling solo (which was one), to girlfriends getaway, to friends group trips, couples and family with children.
The staff is beyond amazing and makes you feel like your family and at the end of the trip no matter who you showed up with you end up making so many friends everywhere you go that you feel like you’re leaving a part of your heart and soul on that island.
Also, side note but Kandima is the largest hotel island in the Maldives which gives you lots of space, quiet time to relax yet also offers lots of fun activities every single day like making your own pizza, karaoke, live music, dolphin quests, snorkeling, morning yoga and so much more.
But enough about how amazing I think this resort is, I can literally write a book about what an amazing and incredible place it is, the best thing to do is go out there and expierence it on your own 😉

While traveling to the Maldives, alot of my followers and friends requested a Water Villa room tour, so here it is!
Also, I do want to mention that Kandima has normal rooms that aren’t water villas but all rooms, no matter what you go with are suites, luxury, big and beautiful.
They also have 3 different water villa rooms, one is the basic which is the one I stayed at, the next one is one with a jacuzzi and the other style which I believe there are only 2 of them have big pools overlooking the ocean of course.
