The Andersen Boutique Hotel is one of the sweetest family owned hotels I have ever stayed at. If you’re looking for more of a cozy, but elegant hotel to stay in Copenhagen, The Andersen Boutique Hotel has you covered.

I got to spend 4 nights in this beautiful and colorful hotel and lucky for me I got the stunning turquoise room, which happens to be my favorite color. 🙂

Overview:

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, The Andersen Boutique Hotel is in the hip quarter of Vesterbro, right next to the meatpacking district, full of bars and amazing restaurants. The brand new hotel that opened its doors in 2012, will steal your heart away and make you feel so at home, especially on a rainy day.

Being that Copenhagen is a city that’s mainly run by bicycles, The Andersen Hotel rents bikes to guest, free of charge. So you can explore the city like a local.

Everyday between the hours of 5pm-6pm The Andersen hotel offers a complimentary happy hour special, giving guest of the hotel FREE red or white wine, between those hours. Which I loved! I thought it was such a great idea, to bring hotel guests from around the world together. You can also enjoy a great selection of other alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, including cappuccinos and espresso in the lobby during your stay.

Speaking of beverages, let’s talk about food! Their free continental breakfast, was one of my favorites during my travels. It had just about everything you can ask for, with a great selection of different types of cheeses, cereals, fresh baguettes, fruits and more and it’s all organic.

One of my favorite things about this award winning hotel is that it operates on CONCEPT24. What is CONCEPT24? CONCEPT24 means you get your room for 24hrs without being charged extra for late check-out, which I LOVE! If you checked in at 6pm you can check out at 6pm! How awesome is that!? A concept that’s foreign to most hotels throughout the world.

This hotel has one of the best WIFI connections I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Works everywhere and I never had any problems.

My Experience:

I honestly adore this hotel! I think it’s just one of the sweetest hotels I’ve ever stayed at, it just has such a good vibe. The staff at the front desk was so helpful from the moment you walked in and throughout your stay. They helped me find the best restaurants and hang out spots in Copenhagen. My room was just beautiful and super clean and I’m just obsessing over my beautiful room decor and colors. The breakfast buffet was perfect and had everything you needed. The room also had helpful tips on where to dine, what to do in the city and where to shop. Everything was so close by foot to this hotel, including the central station. I also completely fell in love with their toiletries brand, Molton Brown “Green Park”. It just smelled AMAZING and I actually ordered some when I got home.

What originally caught my eyes about this hotel was their bright colored themed rooms and their daring use of colors. There are just way too many hotels out there that stay on the safe side and use standard colors for designing their room like whites, grays and blacks. However, the Andersen Hotel is just colorful everywhere you go, from the lobby to your rooms using a hip, retro-inspired decor.

Rooms and Suites:

The Andersen Hotel has 4 types of rooms to choose from, the Cool Standard Room, the Brilliant Deluxe Room, the Wonderful Room and the Amazing Junior Suite.

I got to stay in the Amazing Junior Suite, which had big beautiful windows that face the main street and brought into the room so much natural sunlight. It really reminded me a lot of New York City.

The room was spacious, featured 2 heaters (a must during the winter season), GREAT WIFI connection, sofa-bed, lounge corner, 40” Samsung TV, a bottle of wine and snacks and a Andersen Hotel yellow rubber duck, yours to keep! (Hey I didn’t know that! I want my ducky!).

I absolutely LOVED this hotel! It was honestly adorable and highly recommend it to all! Also, be sure to check out their sister hotel across the street,  the Absalon Hotel, which is the brand new as well and stunning!
