Celebrating Summer With Malibu Rum Lime
Being a travel blogger is kinda like living in an endless vacation that is crafted by you. You get to decide whether you live in summer world or winter world. This year I decided to celebrate summer all year long. I traveled to all hot destination like Mexico, Colombia, The Maldives and Thailand and I have a few more exciting places lined up! So stay tuned for that… But every year when summer comes around, I always started my summer in LA because clearly why not 😉 LA seriously has the best summer weather. No humidity, clear sunny skies and it’s the perfect kind of hot. Then normally like clockwork, I travel out of the country to keep the summer party going and venture off to Europe and Israel.

Speaking of Malibu Rum, I think by now everyone knows how obsessed I am with going to Malibu, but did you guys actually know that Malibu Rum is my favorite cocktail choice? In fact, the only way I started enjoying cocktails was when I tried my first Malibu Rum with Sprite. Up until that point, I thought alcohol was gross, but on my 21st birthday, my good friend introduced me to it and I fell in love — like I was obsessed. To me, it’s always been the perfect starters drink because it doesn’t taste so strong and it just has a fun vacation vibe written all over it like you’re on some exotic island sipping away at perfection.
So when Malibu Rum offered me the chance to through the perfect summer celebrating to introduce their newest flavor Malibu Lime, you know I was in! It just so happened to be my friend, Sara’s birthday over the weekend, so we did it right with a fun b-day celebration.
The best part about summer is most of our friends are more free to hang out and have some summer fun. My ideal summer day would be hanging out with my favorite people by the pool, working on that summer tan, catching up, snacking, being silly and have a cocktail or two with a few good laughs which is exactly what I did.
This weekend I invited a bunch of my good friends to celebrate summer (plus Sara’s birthday) because well, why not. I’m never around for too long, so I thought I’d seize the day! I got a bunch of fun snacks (fruits, chips, brownies), beach towels, good music, bikinis, some fun in the sun and of course, the latest from Malibu Rum, Malibu Lime and was making cocktails for my homies 😉 and of course I had to spice things up with my version of a good time, I brought us a Piñata because you’re never too old to be a kid!
So first here is how to create the perfect Malibu Rum Lime cocktail…
I love mojitos so this one is for all my mojito lovers!
Malibu Lime Mojito
YOU’LL NEED:
- ¾ part Malibu Lime
- 3 parts Soda Water
- ½ part Sugar
- Limes
- Mint Leafs
- Lightly muddle mint leaves with sugar in a glass.
- Garnish with mint sprig.
Malibu Lime Fresh
- 2 parts Malibu Lime

3.5 parts Soda water

Garnish with a lime wedge.
Sun a fun day spent in the sun! We all need some fun in the sun to unwind. I did want to mention that Malibu Rum also has a bunch of other awesome flavors like Malibu Black, Malibu Pineapple, Malibu Mango, Passion Fruit, Tropical Banana (yum!), fizzy pink lemonade, strawberry punch and more!
