The Best Luxury Destinations to Travel to By Private Jet

Spread the love

No rush for a seat, no screaming babies and the freedom to decide wherever the hell you want to fly to, without being limited to large airports.

Yes, flying by private jet is a huge luxury – a huge luxury that’s becoming increasingly affordable. And this got me thinking; if you were given the opportunity to fly in a private jet, how could you take advantage of this by flying to some of the world’s coolest destinations?

So if you’re going to book a private jet for a special occasion, here’s where I think you should be heading to:

Paro, Kingdom of Bhutan

Nestled in the Kingdom of Bhutan, Paro is surrounded by the mountains of the Himalayas and is 7,300 feet above sea level. This obviously means that the airport isn’t the most accessible in the world.

In fact, even Paro’s tourism board warn that the descent brings you closer than normal to the mountain tops. And the best bit? If you fly by private jet, they’ll organize your permit for you – something that can take 10 days with commercial airlines.

Norman’s Cay, The Bahamas

This top destination (an island in the Bahamas) can only be accessed by private jet, which adds to the air of intrigue that surrounds it (it used to be where famous drug smugglers, the Medellin Cartel, had their headquarters).

Today it’s popular with explorers and travel bloggers, especially with the plane wreck that you can see in the shallows of the waters near the island.

Easter Island, Chile

Often, you’d need to stay overnight somewhere in Chile before you could fly to this location – but you’ve guessed it – private jets can fly straight there. And with its jaw-dropping statues, this isn’t something you’ll want to miss (or share with crowds of other people).

Lanai, Hawaii

This is one of Hawaii’s lesser-known islands, and was even known as “Pineapple Island” for a while.

How come?

75% of the world’s pineapples used to be produced at a plantation there.

Today, however, it’s a favorite with many A-listers, such as Cindy Crawford and Jessica Alba (who also arrive by private jet, I imagine). And with no direct service from the US, you’ll often have to fly from Kahului or Honolulu Airport when seeking commercial flights.

St. Barts, Caribbean

Where better to go in a private jet than the millionaires’ playground that is St. Barts (or, to give it its formal name – Saint-Barthélemy). Only accessible by a flight to St Maarten, then a shuttle plane or boat, this is the ideal place to take your private jet charter.

This destination is another to boast an exhilarating landing, as you descend over a steep hilltop. And when you take off, you ascend over sunbathers’ heads!

As you can see, when it comes to the lifestyle of the rich and famous, you really can have plenty of fun if you book a private jet for your next adventure.
